When one is in need of rest, one goes close to nature: the sea, greenery, sky. My idea was to combine these moods into a single image and the image that came to mind was the purest of all: water. The water drop is an expression of the structures mood of fragility and zen-like calm. From the outside, it is a curved surface of small ridged concentric circles that taper upwards and become a point, the tip of the drop. The entrance, shaped like a rising flame for a bit of drama will also play with the senses, mixing the imagery of fire and water in one paradoxical, single, whole. Along the swollen curvaceous oblong there is a void, more like a skylight, which provides a view of the sky, completing and complementing the ‘natural’ mood.
The resting experience will be a precious one: suspended in a drop, surrounded by the sky.
