Touch, a gift that allows us to feel, is vital in affecting our moods. Just like food, we only chose to touch safe and healthy objects. It is a basic human right to be exposed to healthy food. With the task at hand, I aimed to transform a kitchen utensil that eliminates the fear of germs as I believe our sense of touch is integral to good eating.
The taste of food is enhanced when the sense of touch is involved. Using cutlery is cumbersome because it prevents people from touching their food. My design merges the two vital senses, taste and touch to present an option where using a spoon to taste food that is cooking will seem natural, like an extension of your hand.
